Catnip is all the rage with today’s modern feline, but do we really understand it?
Is it a source for harmless kicks, or a potentially crippling addiction? Is it a tool to expand one’s consciousness, or a downward spiraling path that can eventually lead to insanity?
Once and for all the facts about this controversial substance are frankly discussed, in the long-lost drug educational film that never-was, “Catnip: Egress to Oblivion?”.

Hello there Cat fanciers! I have made you something ridiculous! In fact, I’ve even written you a song!
Allow me to present the long-lost 1970’s classroom drug education film that never-was, “Catnip: Egress to Oblivion?”
Inspired by some of the amazing educationals unearthed by Something Weird Video over the years, “Catnip: Egress to Oblivion?” features COMPELLING NARRATION by Mr. Terry Easley, EXPERT TESTIMONY by Doctors Giovanni Dominice and Neil Kight, as well as a DAZZLING HOST of kittens and cats who came to the project via friends both near and far (with an extra special tip o’ the hat to Desi Aragon, Lee Bucyk, Kim Kysar, Ruby Mashburn & Martha Lucille Sanders).
The total budget for this film was $25, all of which was spent on catnip.
Meeeeeeeeowch!
And hey! Be sure to check out the Facebook group too!
What’s this? Why it’s a SUPER EXCITING TEN-SECOND BONUS INTRO from when “Catnip: Egress to Oblivion?” played at the totally awesome Disposable Film Festival in San Francisco, CA.
(As part of the event, they ask that their directors come up with little 10 second “self portraits” to screen before the showings, so this was mine.)
