“Gridstamatic” refers to my grid assembly/collage work using the Hipstamatic app (or if you’d prefer, Cubism-by-way-of-iPhone).
The images been featured in and/or won awards from Photojojo, Wired, F-Stop Magazine, the Hipstamatic “Adventures in HipstaLand” series, Creativity Machines and elsewhere. They have also been showcased at multiple exhibits in North America and Europe, and have been used in the classroom as a tool for teaching creative photographic techniques to children.
Technical aside: there’s no post processing aside from choosing images and then laying them out into the desired sequence, and no pixel adjustment or color work other than what the app delivers in-phone.

If you’d like to learn a bit more about my process with these, here’s an interview I did with the photo website “What I See Now”, which is produced by writer, photographer and technology columnist Allan Hoffman.
