A small sampling of portraits I made (of a half dozen friends) while living in Columbus, OH when I was 19 years old and going to school at the Columbus College of Art & Design.
Blurry Movements! Facial Obfuscation! Vanishing Humans! While I promise you I had no highly developed notions of thematic unity around this stuff at the time, in retrospect I guess what I seem to have been unconsciously moving towards feels at least a little more cohesive to me now (heh, mostly though I just I wish that I could have seen Meatyard’s work back then. A little probably would have gone a long way for me.)
